The Servos Solution: A Comprehensive Approach
Our Servos School Security System stems from our three-tier protocol of emergency preparedness, safe and secure campuses and community engagement, with a nutritional plank that will provide insight and options on healthy living and a preferred food curriculum, but fundamentally it begins with the integration of our specifically trained directors of safety and security into all aspects of the school’s ecosystem; student body, faculty, administration, parents and community. There will be a President and COO of Security to lead each school protocol with additional VP, Directors of Safety as specific district student body and faculty numbers dictate.
Their roles are the most integral piece of the protocol and success does not happen without an exceptional level of service from each security team member.
Leading with Safety: The Role of Our Security Directors
The responsibilities of our security directors will be many, with a basic focus on creating a safe environment and an overall culture that embraces communication and collaboration and one wholly intolerant of violence of any kind. They will also be responsible for managing, training, updating and enforcing KFA-Servos protocols that encompasses, but are not limited to, preparation and securing everyone’s physical safety and developing student, faculty, parent and local first responder relationships to best facilitate efficient and effective ongoing dialogue between all parties.
They will also possess the ability to address violent issues, immediately and effectively.
Cutting-Edge Security: Technology Meets Vigilance
KFA – Servos School Security will equip our security teams with, and implement, the latest in next generation monitoring, secured perimeter analytics and threat prevention/detection technologies campus-wide. Our advanced protocol will leverage thermal and visible spectrum imaging to provide enhanced surveillance capabilities in the most challenging of environments.
Through advanced broadband technology networking coupled with mobile apps, real time communications will be constantly live and coordinated between our team, faculty, student body, parents and area first responders, so everyone will have the ability to not only remain updated but communicate as well.
There will be a single main entrance and all other entry points into school will either be eliminated or reduced, managed and/or secured, with exterior and interior electronic door access only and locked classroom protocols with door propping alerts. There will also be a strict visitor management system with the ability to scan visitors DL or ID against several major databases, including sex offenders, and provide advance alert to local law enforcement by email and/or text if a problematic visitor arrives.
Building Trust: Prevention and Community Connection
Threat prevention, detection and eradication involves not only all the tactics above but continually building trust and creating an emotionally safe environment, and if a problem child is suspected or detected, social media monitoring and counseling support will immediately be enacted. The positive impact of security officials being a trustworthy, connected and a respected part of each school’s ecosystem is undefeated.
Communication and feedback mechanisms reduce anxiety of children and parents and will include avenues and platforms such as, but not limited to, school board meetings, social media posts, direct email contact, climate surveys and personal outreach.
